His work as the henchman of the Don was to foment trouble in
other’s life and fill his
boss’s coffers. He realized the gravity of the
situation when he got a dose of his own
bitter medicine. An upside down image
stared back at him from the mirror. His life was in
disarray. He could not reverse the needles of the clock.
He wished to start life anew. He couldn’t fathom how he
would break away. The
tentacles of the underworld would spread to ensnare him.
Death would be the only
penalty. He prayed to Lord Shiva for a miracle.

Karma will catch him up. But repentance and ask for forgiveness is acceptance of wrong-doing. Hope the Lord compensates him. Thanks Esha for reading and commenting.
DeleteKarma doesn't leave you that easily! Hope Shiva can destroy him and all his karma, that's his only recourse.
ReplyDeleteKarma spares none whether good or bad. Hope he gets a chance to reform and start anew. But what about the people whom he has troubled? Thanks Anshu B for reading and commenting.
DeleteYeah, he needs a miracle because getting out the tentacles of the underworld isnt easy. A great use of the two prompts, Kalapana.
ReplyDeleteA miracle from the Lord is the need of the hour for the wronged person. Thanks Shilpa G .
DeleteOh he definitely needs a miracle to get out of this. Does he deserve it though?
ReplyDeleteEvery person deserves a second chance or a reprieve to start again. Hope he reforms. Thanks jyothi for reading and commenting.

Deletekarma's going to come collect his debt, no doubt. lovely read!
ReplyDeletehe has reaped the fruits of bad karma that he had sowed.
DeleteI hope Lord Shiva forgives him and helps him out of the misery he finds himself in.
ReplyDeleteBut, do such sins we commit ever grant us forgiveness in spite of repenting? We have to face the repercussions of our actions.
This is very tricky and confusing. If Lord Shiva forgives him and starts life anew what about the people and their families whom had troubled in the past? Will they forgive him?
