Sad release.

                 Three Line Tales, Week 88

three line tales week 88: dip pen and ink because it's Inktober, innit

The waves in the ocean of her mind had gradually formed into a raging tempest lashing fiercely onto the shore of her face which reflected in the crystal clear myriad emotions as the colours splashed on canvas.

The wooden pen-holder moved to expose its lifeless contents as she picked it up to pour her inner turmoil on the blank sheets to release the farrago of discontent, doubts and sorrow.

The golden nib stubbornly refused to co-operate with the stimulus given by the brain to transfer the anguish from her senses to her diary which kept invading her whole being and subsequently her hands took refuge in the noose.

Vision

                Three Line Tales, Week 83

Jennifer loved the crisp paper as she touched it and folded it perfectly from one corner to another, pressing it with her thumb nail, transforming a sheet of paper into a melange of shapes and sizes inviting admiring appreciation for all and sundry.

The apotheosis of her talent was when a Children's Magazine published her poetry and there was no looking back when she delivered a lecture to motivate under-privileged school-kids.

Her parents and her sibling were the pillars of support and they made up for her lack of sight.

Nest

              Three Line Tales, Week 80

three line tales week 80: a blue old school VW camper van

The chrome blue colour vehicle stood in my backyard fully refurbished akin to a young

bride but its porous lungs are a testimony to its unfailing labour of the bygone decade

and half.

Its services needs a well-deserved rest as my weary bones are in need of calcium

supplements.

The metallic body is shorn of number plate but is ripe with memories of laughter  and

banter and my fledglings 's  transformation to flit away from the nest.

Mathematics

              Three Line Tales, Week 78

three line tales week 78: someone walks down the stairs at the Guggenheim Museum in NYC

Ishaan was the fun-loving , naughty , fidgety boy who refused to take interest in the

study of numbers , troubling his teachers and parents alike and was put under the

tutelage of the revolutionary Aamir Khan who was considered an outlier in the field of

education and a few institutions made a beeline outside his door to have him on their

payroll while many feared his unprecedented teaching methods.

The young pupil and his Master warmed themselves running up and down the stairs and

later adding and subtracting numbers through the medium of steps rather than the

conventional blackboard, had the educational heads gaping in wonder.

AK not only taught the young boy to juggle numbers like a magician but had driven away

the demon of fear of the most hated school-subject.

dance

Her rhythmic moves satiate her deep desire, she is poetry in motion.

She waits for all eyes to go into deep slumber and sneaks out to take refuge on the

wooden floor.

The forbidden fruits are always sweet and this is no exception for the Indian Princess

whose ancestry has consigned this art to the subaltern masses.

bicycles

              Three Line Tales, Week 75

three line tales week 75: two bicycles in front of the ocean

The successors of Penny Farthing stand resting on the deck , a mute testimony to the

sacrifice the two lovers made by meeting their watery grave when the fanatical forces

refused to unite them.

" Can anyone point out to which religion these belong to?", the guide, pointing  to the

weathered bicycles , asked a motley bunch of youngsters from all corners of the globe.

The young intrepid feet stood rooted to the ground vowing to rise above all man-made

barriers.
