I really love when I see fireflies! They remind me that there are miracles in nature! Nice share. Thanks for taking part in Poets United Poetry Pantry.
Aww.. On the 1st one, but your rip cracked me up. Our skies have been alight with fireflies lately. It's seems appropriate that they would light the way for eloping lovers.
These were all so lovely. Fireflies are so magical to me. I get so excited when I see them in the garden - like I'm ten again and have a jar to catch them. (We would release them, but they never failed to fascinate us).
Fireflies makes your heart light, I believe. I remember this one night when I was in a hill-station at Kerala for my vacation last year, we lived in a govt quarters and naturally there was no power supply at night. Feeling dejected. We, my mom and I, went out in a hope to find the moon. What awaited us outside was a view that I would remember at my deathbed. The whole place was filled with fireflies. Everywhere we looked, there were fireflies. Thousands of them. It seemed the whole place was glowing. You could use all words of beauty and still feel you didn't describe it well. It was the most beautiful thing I ever saw, and ever will see. :)
Oh and I almost forgot, the poem is subliminal. Loved it. And thanks for making my day with your poem. :)
