I wish that technology spreads it's tentacles , conveniently ironing the creases of undesirable memories to form a smooth sheet of wanted recollections.
But, I alternating on the twin tracks of uncertainty and indecision, ruminate whether this is possible and really desirable?
For, with bitter memories are conjoined the sweet lingering moments which have matured and ripened from the first rays of the morning sun. And when heavily laden detached themselves to fall off graciously and new fruits sprout to take their place to complete the cycle of rejuvenation.
The humans could take a new leaf of learning and unlearning from Nature to complete the cycle of rejuvenable memories and fruits of sweet memories fill the sacred space of bitter ones.

ReplyDeleteAm happy that you loved my post but Jairam its a bit difficult, inspite of trying hard, to detached oneself from bad/painful/bitter memories. But the process of make a brave attempt to erase the negativity should go on.

ReplyDeleteHow we react to 'bad' memories , shows our maturity and the state of mind. and I console myself with a feeling that the 'awful' memories were testing times/periods of my life.
ReplyDeleteI think as I grow older I realized along the way not to sweat the small stuff, trust more in God, and celebrate the good so that it always out shines the bad. I agree with Corinne that it is our attitude towards bad memories and what we take from them that definitely contribute to our happiness and peace. Lovely!

ReplyDeleteGreat way to explain memories... everything fades at a point but life moves on at least leaving the fruit for others.
ReplyDeleteWish our memories were like a computer hard disk where you can erase what we want, when we want and take back up of important stuff...tough when we try to forget bad memories ...great post :)
