The Mag

Musician in the Rain by Robert Doisneau

Music is in my blood.
A legacy of my family.
The reason for my being alive.
I worship thee .
But it's not my livelihood.
I cherish it.
I will protect it from all onslaught.
An umbrella , I hold over it
from re-mixes and mongrel-music,
from people who sell the melody
for a few dimes and
two seconds of fame.
My music is the living temple of God.
Its sanctity , never will be desecrated.
