You write something using the words cruel , ghastly and unkempt.

Cruel, adjective (crueler, cruelest): willfully causing pain or suffering to others, or feeling no concern about it; causing pain or suffering.

Ghastly, adjective (ghastlier, ghastliest): causing great horror or fear; frightful or macabre; informal objectionable; unpleasant; extremely unwell; deathly white or pallid.

Unkempt, adjective (especially of a person) having an untidy or disheveled appearance.

                                  green wild unkempt grass

                                   covers the garden patch

                                 I sat on the wooden bench

                                hard and morose my thoughts.

                                 
                                  A cold feeling stirred me

                                on a hot May summer 'noon.
                                        I  lifted my feet
                             ghastly, brown reptile slithered
                            
                            curving its long lithe body,
                         raising its hood , forking its tongue,
                                   My backbone erect,
                              I watched it with interest.
                         
                         watered grass caressed its body 
                         the Cobra , satisfied , withdrew
                                into its burrow , small.
                                   My muscles froze

                            The venomous cruel Cobra's
                                  sting could silence 
                              my daughter's laughter.
                               Live and let live, Nay.

                             flashed in my inward eye.
                             I crushed the burrow door
                                 with a stone , large.
                        Me retreated indoor with a smile.
