This week your challenge is to write a 52 word story including these words: Badger, amulet and coward
The amulet was fastened on his arm after prayers and oblation.

The little voice badgered her for an explanation.

“It will make you fearless” she hesitatingly answered.

“Ma, look”, index finger pointing to the wall and burying his head in a pillow.

Behind the painting was a gecko.


Coward.

The amulet unfastened.

a buried secret.

The sex-worker has been bungled to death in a seedy hotel.

Alex was taken into custody.

He pleaded innocence.

Forensics found no clues.

But CCTV camera had captured his image.

Five years ago, Alex’s mother had died burying a secret with her.

Alex’s twin had been placed for adoption.

The serial-killer smiled.

The battle of Haldighati



Rana Pratap's coruscant bravery slashed every

 head that came in his way on the battlefield.  But the sheer force of the Mughal enemy reduced his belligerent mood and his small troop.

Sensing the situation, Chetak galloped , leaving the centre-stage.

Fatigued , he died in harness.

Rana built a memorial of his faithful Chetak.

Morning walk




The grass beneath her bare feet sent acupressure points activating with every

step.

Filtered sunlight soaked her skin.

She stepped out of the framed scenic painting hung 

on the wall into her apartment.

Sipping her tea, she guards her secret, the potion to 

her eternal youth.

Her morning ritual sacrosanct.

         Imaginative, almost.
