Dimples : Parts of the body

Wikipedia : Dimple also known as gelasin is a small natural indentation in the flesh on a

part of the human body, most notably in the cheek or on the chin. Gelasin is derived from

the Greek word 'gelaein' which means  to laugh.

Dimples have been mislabeled as genetically inherited. Most of the dimples are

permanent while some are transient.

It is possible to surgically to  create permanent dimples, and the surgical procedure to

create dimples is very simple and straightforward.

Dimples are created by the doctor making a tiny incision inside a patient's cheek. The

incision on the inside of the cheek leaves a permanent indentation in the skin, creating

the dimple. The entire outpatient procedure requires only a local anesthetic and takes

about 30 minutes to complete.

Those un-inherited dimples disappear as the baby's baby fat melts away. But for those

who inherited dimples, the condition lasts until old age—and concurrent fat loss—lessen

their appearance. In general, dimples are permanent,

Dimples frequently take place on both cheeks and one side dimple is considered a rare

phenomena. It  is said only 20% of the population owns dimples. People with dimples look

cute and adorable and is considered as a sign of beauty. Some cultures conclude that

Dimples bring good luck and happiness.
