Ignorance is bliss

This time you have to weave a post including, ‘Ignorance indeed is bliss, he/she thought to himself/herself.’

The lightest shade of pink with multi colored shape of sun drawn on all the four edges, each of different size and hues arrested the attention of the postmaster stamping each letter/envelope with a round seal. He stopped his mechanical and continuous chore , that he had been performing for the last half decade, smiled , as he read the scribbled message , aloud for the tiny but entire post-office to hear.

"Dear God,
15th August is nearing and I  do not have shoes to wear for the school parade. Ma said , pray to God and HE will solve your problem."

And the letter ended by signing off as 'A devotee of You, Amar'

The post-master , a middle-aged , religious man by nature felt pity for the small boy but at the same time was touched by the innocence .

Ignorance indeed is bliss, he thought to himself.

The postmaster himself being a father understood the plight of the boy and collected  money from all his staff , the major contribution from his pocket, enough to buy a decent pair of shoes for the boy. The money was sent to the address mentioned in the postcard.

Amar's mother received the money on her son's behalf and placed it on the mantelpiece near the idols of God. She smiled, as her trick , was a success.

Ignorance indeed is bliss , she thought to herself.
