who did it?

#MicroMondays – Edition 1

Nupur and Ramesh walked free out of the gallows.

Who killed Aarushi? Will her spirit absolve the stain of looming shadows?

I am curious too.

          MicroMondays-Edition 1. Thanks Varad R and NamySaysSo.

Go to the left where nothing is right or go to right where nothing is left? Tread on either of them. Maybe they will merge together.

Flaws, egos appear magnified when scrutinized under the lens.
Errors like straws float on water, he who yearns for pearls must dive below.

Trust broken

Happy anniversary.

Music and  wine failed to assuage the  tempest in my heart. The sip of infidelity

combined with mendacity set the marital boat rocking.

My tired oar failed to keep it  afloat.

The Titanic sank with my trust.

Save our planet

The iron fangs mechanically sink deeper into her womb aborting

life. The bare surface devoid of foliage with parched throat cries

to quench. A lone concerned voice protests over the monstrous din.

Million hands join the movement to conserve what is left.

Soldier

They brought him home wrapped in the tricolour flag.

The innumerable flames of the wicks, bereaved with the wind illuminating the
dark moon-less night.

His fighting spirit kept him alive, buried in blankets of snow albeit briefly.

Salute you, brave Hanumanthappa.

Trust the Lord

The contractions wrung her body,

she saw the poacher’s aim staring.

Her priority concentrated on giving life,

she surrendered to HIM.

The thunder and lightning blinded him,

missing his mark.

An addition to near extinct species.

A new dawn welcomed the cub.

Transition

Erasers

undo pencil marks

on pages, white.

Aha, childhood.

Footprints into adolescence threshold

pimples, exam stress and broken hearts.

Band-Aid for Cupid's arrows?

Or a stone shield?

A magic eraser to rub the slate clean.

Begin anew with every fall or error.

cobweb of suspicion

Image result for spider's web

A maze

Spider’s web.

Spooling each sticky layer

Lust greed anger.......

I peered

A germ lay in abyss, camouflaged, coiled

SUSPICION.

Spinning deceit

Deluding

Poisoning.

Picking the broom, I swept clean

Sanctum sanctorum of my mind.

Enter my temple with clean feet.

Left alone

Swimming in the dark congested amniotic pool,

Content were we sharing, caring.

With the spasm, I struggled out.

From my throat escaped a cry,

Air filled my lungs.

Free into the sunny world.

But O brother! Why did your throat run dry?

The spirit of life

Image result for a bottle of rum near a tombstone

“Because it’s the spirit of my life, I live to drink”, Charlie would

grin  broadly, gulping the amber colour down his throat.

Laying a wreath, pregnant Annie leaves the rum bottle besides

the  grey stone.

“May your spirit rest in peace. Amen!”

Dark Shadow

yeah write #202 weekly writing challenge

“It’s all in your mind”.

“Mom, the ghost haunts me”.

“Good-night Alicia”.

At the click of the button, Alicia buries herself in the quilt,
perturbed of the darkness.

The shadow creeps stealthy. A hand runs all over her.

“No papa”. She yelps.
